The Family Flame return to The Cauliflower Hotel for a family friendly, free entry show, 5pm Sun 13 September.

Featuring Papa Fire (aka D.A. Carter), the phenomenal Aimee Claire joining our lineup, Gaz Luke bringing the funk on bass, Michael Phung on saxophone and the ever groovy Moz Henler on drums.

With special guests Evangelia and more musical surprises, will be a great vibe for families & kiddos, with Mama Smoke sauces & sprinkles available, and of course the great vibes, food and bevvies of The Cauliflower.

The Family Flame is known for high-energy 9-piece live shows around Sydney, but for this special show the duo strip back to showcase the songwriting, vocal harmonies, and raw energy at the project’s core with new Italian songs written for their upcoming release and tour alongside original Fam Flame classics.

Tunes will be played in English and Italian for all to enjoy.

The Family Flame are supporting James Donald Trio’s album release, doors at 5pm, performances to follow.

You’ve probably made stuff – you might be a writer of prose, poetry or songs. Maybe you draw, paint or animate. If that sounds familiar, you might wonder how to get your work out of your notebook, bedroom, or studio and in front of people?

This workshop is all about those steps towards sharing creative work with the world – finding venues to perform, places to publish or exhibit, funding and grant opportunities, and along the way contributing to communities of creative people.

D.A. Carter (aka Papa Fire) is a singer-songwriter, poet, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and presenter based in Sydney.

This an event for people aged 12+ and is suitable for an intergenerational audience.

If you’ve seen rappers freestyling in a cypher and wondered how it’s done, your journey into words flowing in the moment begins with this workshop.

This is a youth workshop presented by Inner West Library.
