What is Tastes Like Music?

Papa Fire & Mr Beatz are two unique musicians specialising in their own brand of “musical cuisine”. Papa Fire has dedicated himself to the eclectic flavours of beatbox, loop pedals, songwriting and freestyling, while Mr Beatz serves up percussion on drums, random junk and makes rhythms with just his body.

Tastes Like Music is what you get when two connoisseurs find a new way to serve music, inspired by the menu at a restaurant – you get choose from what’s being offered. There might be something special in the kitchen being served just that night, and you might even ask for some changes.

Why can’t you have the same experience at a show – and order music from musicians?

That’s the question that Tastes Like Music answers.

Together they create an interactive musical theatre experience in Tastes Like Music, where the audience chooses tunes made-to-order from a menu, where comedy, beatbox, body percussion, freestyle and improv collide, and where every show is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind based on the tastes and flavours that the crowd add to the mix.
